Paranormal Activity

Before i got the chance to even watch the movie i was recieving mixed reviews. I'd hear from one person it was a total waste of money and not scary at all, and then from another person that it was the scariest thing they had ever seen.

I went to see it on Halloween at midnight and i will tell you one thing, when i got home I was so utterly paranoid that i couldnt even get out of bed to shut my closet door. To me this movie was scary but not because there were things popping out at you or legs and arms being ripped off someones body. It was realistic. And that is why i believe most people were scared.

The main concept of it was that this young couple who had just decided to move in together were experiencing "paranormal activity" in their home. I dont want to give it away to much but id give it a thumbs up for sure.

I also heard it only took $15,000 to make this movie. I could imagine how much the director has profited, being that this movie was so popular...

  1. Actually, the movie cost $11,000 to create. It was quite a feat in the film world.

Watch out for "texting talk" on your blog. No lower case "I" or shortened words...

  2. I agree, I wasn't sure if this movie was going to be good or not. Most people said that they weren't scared when they were actually watching the movie, but when they got home they were really freaked out. Overall, I thought it was an okay movie. And I didn't realize it only took 15,000 to make that movie. You're right, the director most have made a huge profit !

  3. I couldn't agree with you more people often fall for horror movies such as Saw, Final destination, and Mirrors. The thing is Paranormal activity was so unique, different, and realistic it was true suspense. I thought that since the characters where normal everyday people it was something anyone can picture themselves experiencing, almost putting yourself in their shoes. And to think there are movies out there that took thousands possibly millions of dollars to make and barely hit the charts. The ending was so unpredictable, clearly why there were people scattering and rushing out of the theater some even sobbing. This movie was defiantly a scare. :]

  4. I want to see that movie but my mum thinks it is a waste of money, and to not bother going to see it. I also heard friends that this movie was literally epic in the scary movie category, I do hope my mum will eventualy let me take my sister to the movie.

  5. I was planning on going to watch the movie. I have not heard much about it, but your review encourages me to go. Its really nice that they just spent 15,000 dollars on it, they will make a huge profit from ticket sales.

  6. This movie was definitely different from any other horror movie I've ever seen. Instead of masked faced psychopaths jumping out of now where with a chainsaw, this actually gave the viewer the impression that it was real. The use of a camera with the time at the bottom and a couple just like most in today's world really gave you this impression. I usually don't get scared during horror movies, but this one made me jump and sent chills down my spine.
