Holiday Movies

Going to the movies during the holidays is one of my favorite things to do! Its always nice to get out of the (not so cold) weather and snuggle with your significant other. It is most definitely a romantic time to go. Even if you cannot make it to the theater its also great to stay home and rent some oldies! Some reccomendations would be...
Titanic
Wedding Crashers
The Notebook
Secret Window
or even Finding Nemo!

HOW BOUT' THEM LIGHTNING OSCARS!?

I hope a lot of you in Mrs. Stoklosa's class attended. It was really a night to remember. From Mrs. GPA to Bromance i think almost every category was covered. Our hosts Amanda and Anthony were absolutely superb and our performances were spectacular.

One thing though that many dont recognize or really care about is what goes on backstage. How shows like The Lightning Oscars and Bay Babes are able to function smoothly. Basically its SGA's executive board. We all put in hours and hours... and hours to make events like this happen and so many other things happen at Cypress as well.

I'm making this blog just to thank our Student Government and to encourage our class to volunteer or even run for an officer for next semester.

Mean Girls

Throw Back! I havent recently seen this movie but it is one of my favorites, no doubt. I think the story line is so "real life related" and the movie is hilarious. This movie is a PERFECT example of high school today. Cliques, cliques and wait, more cliques. Each role in the film was played to the tee. And every character was so wonderfully created. I think this is a great movie and if you get the chance to watch I can assure you you'll be laughing. Super fun and realistic.

Blindside

GREAT GREAT GREAT GREAT movie. Can I say great any more times? Well, I really enjoyed it a lot! I love true stories and im a sucker for sad storylines. The film is pretty much the timeline of pro NFL football player Michael Oher. The length was perfect. I also believe Sandra Bullock played a superb role as the wealthy mother. Be prepared to cry. Great movie for guys and girls!

Movie Theater's Descriptions Around Weston

Weston 8- Not a bad movie theater, its very local to all who live in Weston. However DO NOT go on a Friday night. Weston 8 is jam packed with kids from all middle schools and younger grades, its not very fun when you can barely move around the lobby. On any other night its a breeze, there are only a few show times but the matniee price is surprisingly very cheap.
Cinemark(Muvico) Paradise 24- My personal favorite theater of all time. I absolutely love the location and all the restaurants and shops near it. (LUTZ!) The showtimes are great for anyones schedule and the movie theaters themselves are very cozy and comfortable.
Regal Cinemas Sawgrass 23- A bit farther than the above two, but also a nice theater. I'd have to say this is my least favorite cinema of all. the location is nice and all but its not very cozy to me. This is also another theater that has a huge teen population!
